About Us Anchor

The fattest bird story:

Fat Bird was founded in 2020 after founder Janey Hawley’s full-time job fell victim to the pandemic-related recession. Always the innovator, Janey quickly got to work creating her own marketing company to support several local businesses that remained open.

What is a fat bird? According to Urban Dictionary, it’s a Phrase shouted to announce your desire for a reaction from random people, indicating a need to change the balance of positivity. At the Fat Bird, we strive to shake things up as we garner enthusiastic attention for your brand.

She began her career in Oklahoma City as a Marketing Manager for a raw vegan restaurant concept. She later moved to California, where she perfected her sales skills as an event manager. Janey moved to Colorado in 2017 and has created content for several area clients. Her loyalty to customers and passion for their brands has built many lifelong partnerships and friendships. Janey’s love for her work comes from meeting and exceeding her client’s marketing and branding. She likes to ski, hike, run with her dogs, and watch all the good shows in her free time.
